On January 29, 2026, the Globus Award 2025 ceremony took place in Frankfurt. Among the honorees were tourism service providers who delivered the best travel agency service in 2025. The online vote was once again conducted by Dr. Fried & Partner on behalf of touristik aktuell.
As in previous years, numerous travel agency employees participated in the survey. They voted in the categories Best All-round Tour Operator, Specialist Tour Operator, Cruise Provider, Hotel Chain, and Tourist Board. The evaluation considered factors such as accessibility of service centers, competence and speed, goodwill, and marketing support.
Schauinsland Reisen and Chamäleon once again leading among all-round and specialist tour operators
The winners of previous years in the All-round and Specialist Tour Operator categories also secured top positions this year. Schauinsland Reisen ranks first among All-round Tour Operators, while Chamäleon leads the Specialist Tour Operator category. DER Touristik maintains its second place in the All-round category. This year, TUI and Alltours share third place with equal scores. Newcomer SKR-Reisen takes second place among Specialist Tour Operators on its first attempt, closely followed by Gebeco in third place.
Top 3 hotel chains and cruise providers from previous years remain out in front
The hotel chains Iberostar, RIU, and Aldiana are once again recognized in 2025 for outstanding travel agency service, securing first, second, and third place. Compared to the previous year, RIU and Aldiana switch positions.
The top-ranking cruise providers from 2024 again take the leading spots: AIDA Cruises in first place, TUI Cruises in second, and Phoenix Reisen in third.
Dubai has the best tourist board
In 2025, Dubai’s tourist board provided the best travel agency service. Malta retains its second place from the previous year, while Turkey shows a remarkable improvement, rising to third place after ranking seventh in 2024.
Globus Award for the best field sales representative
In the category of field sales representatives, Marina Schöbel (Bentour Reisen) secures first place. This year, Sarah Ziegenfuß (Schauinsland Reisen) and Jörg Wolski (Hanse Merkur) take second and third place respectively.
Awards for travel agencies
In addition to the online voting for the best tourism service providers and field sales representatives, a jury of experts in travel agencies, sales, and marketing selected particularly innovative and successful travel agency concepts.
