In its role as the office of the National Platform Future of Tourism (NPZT), Dr. Fried & Partner was able to actively support the tourism policy process at the federal level. The week began on Monday with exciting preparatory discussions for the first NPZT steering committee meeting.
The steering committee meeting itself then took place on Tuesday at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) and served as the starting signal for the long-term strategic dialogue process with representatives from the federal and state governments, destinations, industry and science.
Our political week was rounded off on Wednesday with workshops and talks as part of the intergroup expert discussion on the topic ‘How do we make tourism sustainable?’. The discussion covered topics such as the vision, funding structure and financing of sustainable tourism, challenges in outgoing tourism, and ways to ensure that everyone can participate in tourism.
The team at the office would like to thank the coordinator for tourism and maritime industries, Dieter Janecek, the tourism policy spokespersons of the coalition factions, Stefan Zierke, Stefan Schmidt and Nico Tippelt, as well as the participating members of the steering committee for a successful meeting and looks forward to further inspiring dialogues and the further development of exciting initiatives within the National Platform Future of Tourism.
